For now though, there are no suggestions as to which characters could be added to the game. It would suggest we'll see another 2 characters added to the game for the final Wave 6 DLC. However, as fans noticed, the Wave 4 Update also added five more mystery character slots to the character select screen. This follows the addition of Birdo in Wave 4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 5 is now out, and it added THREE brand new characters to the game in Kamek, Petey Piranha and Wiggler.
